How Do I Measure For My Custom Size Cuff ?
If you are ordering a custom size cuff please take the time to measure your wrist accurately by using the following instructions. This will ensure that your Whiskey Hill wooden jewelry will fit well and wear comfortably
1. Measurement 1: Measure the circumference of your wrist (around the wrist bone). If you don't have a flexible tape measure you can use a string. Make sure the tape measure and or string is pulled snug in order to get an accurate measurement.
2. Measurement 2: Lay your wrist flat on a piece of paper (palm up) and make a mark on the paper on either side of your wrist as close to your wrist as possible. Measure the distance between the lines.
3. Measurement 3: Make a fist and rest the flat side of your fist on a piece of paper (thumb facing up) and again mark either side of your wrist. Make sure to push your skin over and mark as close to the bone as possible. This measurement will be used for the opening of your bracelet and or cuff.
4. Before you add the style that you have selected to your shopping cart please add your wrist measurement in the required field on the product page. >>IMPORTANT<< Make sure to label your measurements: "Measurement 1" "Measurement 2" and "Measurement 3". Feel free to add an additional details regarding fit if you feel they will help the fitting process.

How Do I Take Care Of My Whiskey Hill Jewelry ?
The wood in our Whiskey Hill jewelry is finished with a simple Walnut oil finish which highlights the beauty of the natural grain of the wood. In order to add shine and help keep your piece looking like new, it is advised that at least once a month (or whenever you feel the need) you should use a clean cloth to wipe the wood in your piece thoroughly with coconut oil. Once your piece has a thick layer of coconut oil let it sit for a minute and then polish it off with a micro-fiber cloth.
In order to ensure that your custom Whiskey Hill piece of jewelry stays looking great and lasts a long time, it is strongly advised that you
DO NOT wear your Whiskey Hill jewelry in the water, this includes while washing hands, in the shower and swimming.
Pieces with Brass: Please remember brass does tarnish. Oils from your skin and the oxygen in the air are what accelerate the tarnishing of brass. If you want to slow the tarnishing process, please remember to wipe your piece with a soft cotton rag after wearing and store in a plastic bag away from moisture.
Pieces with Stones or wood "stones": It is best for you to remove your items with stones when in the water. If you have a ring with a stone in it, it is a good idea to remove it when washing your hands. If you have a ring with one of our wood "stones" ALWAYS REMOVE it when in water. Stones are not immediately harmed by water however continual hand washing and or wearing in the water can over time breakdown the stones in your piece. I am guilty of washing my hands with my stone pieces on from time to time, as I don't want to lose them by removing them, but it's good practice for the longevity of your jewelry to be mindful of this and try not to.
Oxidized Silver: Oxidization of silver is a process done with liver of sulfur (like in a hot spring) that blackens the silver. Over time with continual wear in water the dark black finish on the silver can dull. By not wearing your piece in the water and by storing your piece away carefully when you are not wearing it you can slow down the wear and tear on this blackened finish. It is also advised that you not use a polishing cloth on this finish as you can potentially rub the finish right off. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions about process or your item of jewelry with this finish.
<< PLEASE NOTE >> We aim to produce the highest quality products accompanied by top level customer service with every piece of custom jewelry we create. With that being said we ask that you please remember that your custom piece of Whiskey Hill jewelry is made out of wood, which is a natural and sometimes delicate material. When putting your bracelet or cuff on, please remember to slide it all the way on sideways above the wrist bone and then twist it gently onto your wrist, do not force it! Our pieces are durable and when treated well will last for many years to come, but if you force it you will run the risk of snapping it. If your custom piece does not fit please contact us immediately and we will make sure to take care of it for you.
